Danish record labels love the pirate tax

Oct242007 7:07PM — John

Danish record labels are looking into levying a $19 pirate tax per user on all Danish ISPs to cover the imminent piracy that all users engage in. This tax would be MANDATORY for ALL users regardless of their downloading habits. This sort of preemptive pirate tax has been in place in Canada for decades and levies a tax on all blank media sold.
