Oct172007 3:12PM — JohnArs Technica is reporting that a large portion of Amazon’s 1-click ordering patent has been rejected by the USPTO for prior art as well as being over-broad. This is due mostly to the efforts of one disgruntled Amazon customer’s quest to take Amazon down a peg.

Oct162007 7:36PM — JohnAmazon has apparently had an iPhone (and iPod touch) version of their site for quite a while now, completely unbeknownst to me. While I’m resoundingly unimpressed and would much rather use the full “PC” version, it’s nice to see more sites putting out device specific versions of their websites. 
Amazon Launches DRM-Free MP3 Music Store
Sep252007 5:35PM — JohnAmazon has launched a public beta of its new DRM-Free MP3 Music store. The store contains over 2,000,000 tracks from EMI and Universal as well as over 20,000 independent music labels. This announcement strikes a major blow in the struggle to get DRM free music for a reasonable price.
