Internet to remain untaxed for 7 more years
Oct262007 8:49PM — John —In a small victory for keeping the internet free, the U.S. Senate passed a bill extending the 1998 Tax Freedom Act for another 7 years. This will be the third time the act has been extended as a presidential veto is unlikely. It’s important to note that this doesn’t cover products purchased on the internet, only internet access itself. Something I find suspicious as I’m positive my Comcast internet bill includes several “regulatory” or other taxes.
