Verizon eats crow, pays users for capping “unlimited” usage

Version has agreed to “reimburse the terminated subscribers for the cost of the laptop cards or laptop-connected cellphones” for users who were terminated for breaching the invisible ceiling on their “unlimited” usage plans for the companies mobile broadband services, a cap that is reported be as low as 5GB per month. Version is also paying New York state $150,000 for penalties and costs, though, I’m not sure why. How did they wrong New York?

Hopefully this will be a step in the right direction for companies to better clarify their impossibly unlimited plans.
