Apple has launched an official directory of trusted webapps for the iPod touch and the iPhone’s Safari web browser, a long awaited and needed feature. Before now users would have to go to random and scattered compilations of webapps on blogs or resource sites with little to vet for the apps themselves. Now you’re able to view the best of the best in a secure ecosystem without having to worry about password stealing phishing apps. This is still a farcry from the native app support people have wanted from Apple, but I don’t see happening any time soon, so until then we still have Jailbreaks to hold us over.
