So I received my free copy of Windows Vista Business yesterday, installed it and am posting from it now. I have to say it’s vastly better than the betas and even the RTM that was released a month ago. Contrary to what the Windows Vista Upgrade Adviser suggested, it detected all of my hardware right out of the box and then upgraded the drivers to better ones than were even available for XP.

Even with the Aero interface, which is delicious, it still preforms about as well as XP did. Installing it only took about 28 minutes and it now lives in harmonious dual boot bliss with XP. I intend to dump my XP install ASAP and live the complete vista lifestyle, with a review and tons of screen shots to follow.
